It's often through a random start that you find yourself in a moment where you have to design something yourself, like taking on the role of a carpenter for the first time to polish wood. I can't remember how I started, trying to refine a page or make a logo prettier. There were always times that I feel that I need to express the words through graphics.

When I heard the words from David Bowie, it hits me quickly:

Always remember that the reason that you initially started working is that there was something inside yourself that you felt that if you could manifest in some way, you would understand more about yourself and how you coexist with the rest of society. I think it’s terribly dangerous for an artist to fulfill other people’s expectations, they generally produce their worst work when they do that.

I dislike work for meaningless repetitiveness, but I get excited for the creativeness. Year by year, inspiration comes like waves of ocean, striking on the rocks of mind. It's impossible to chase it, it can only be received.

During the era of "slopping", it's hard to find the sparks to create something truly unique. Copies of idea are spread across the internet. However people still appreciate efforts, look for the rare unique pieces. Our work is buried under the algorithm. Sometimes people see it, sometimes no one cares. You gotta keep creating, keep building it up. There will be a moment for those cool pixels to be discovered.

Experiment Ideas

The coolest part is that even when there's nothing to add, you can still make things more lively. Internet started with pixels of limited colored, lifeless fixed pages. Then one day, we had interaction, everything became so lively. I start with the little things on my own website and the products I'm working on. I try bring a lively feeling to the people who're browsing the page - they're not just seeking the links or buttons to click, they're interacting with a mini world.

Charging Yourself

Those thoughts are often intuitive, they don't come from a logic - if we need A to grow, then B has to be interactive. They're also very limited, like smartphone batteries, dying quickly as well.

Ideas don't always come from the same types of resources. You might already find browsing the X feed is exhausting. After liking thousands of posts, your brain still remains drained. Others are building a 3D civilization map, you're not required to build the same thing. Your pupils are not demanded to scan the same content either.

Nature is wealthy with ideas. Museums are flourishing with exhibition. Architectures are presenting a magnificent composition. Go to them, touch their souls.

I'm not the person who has the best skill, I'm the person who are growing joyfully, progressively.
